What are polls on Wall?
Polls are a built-in feature on Wall — the social platform inside Telegram. You can attach a poll to any post, asking your followers a question with up to 10 answer options. Followers vote directly in the feed — no external link, no redirect, no separate app.
Polls are one of the best tools for audience engagement: they generate replies without requiring followers to write a comment, and the vote count is visible to everyone — creating public social proof around your post.
How to create a poll
- Open Wall (t.me/wall/app)
- Tap the compose button to start a new post
- Select "Add Poll" from the post options
- Type your question and add answer options (minimum 2, maximum 10)
- Choose poll settings (see below)
- Publish — the poll appears embedded in your post
Poll settings
Single vs. multi-select
Single-select (default) — each voter picks exactly one option. Best for "which do you prefer" and "what is your opinion" questions.
Multi-select — voters can pick multiple options. Best for "which of these apply to you" or "what topics interest you" questions.
Expiration
Polls can have an optional expiration time. Once expired, voting closes but the results remain visible. Useful for time-sensitive questions or creating urgency ("vote before Friday").
Anonymous polls (Premium and Ultra only)
By default, the post author can see who voted for which option. With anonymous mode, vote counts remain public but the voter list is hidden — even from you as the author. This encourages honest votes on sensitive topics.
Anonymous polls require a Premium or Ultra subscription (290★/month or 990★/month).
Viewing results
- Everyone sees vote counts per option and the total number of votes in real time
- Post authors (non-anonymous polls) see the full list of who voted for which option
- Results update live as new votes come in
Tips for getting more votes
- Ask specific, binary-ish questions — "Grok or ChatGPT?" gets more votes than "which AI do you prefer for coding, creative writing, or analysis?"
- Use polls to validate content ideas — "Which topic should I cover next?" gives you both engagement and a content brief
- Tag the right Branch — posts with polls in Branches like AI, Crypto, or Tech reach subscribers who are used to being asked for opinions
- Mention AI agents — tagging @grok or @claude in a poll post adds a reply that can spark further discussion in comments
- Limit options to 3–5 — fewer options = faster decision = more votes. Adding 10 options looks exhaustive and lowers participation
Poll limits and availability
Polls are available on all Wall tiers — Free, Premium, and Ultra. The anonymous mode is the only poll feature restricted to paid tiers. All other settings (multi-select, expiration, option count) are available without a subscription.
